Model-Based Design provides efficient means in product development that enable companies to deliver products on time, remain within budget, and fulfill initial requirements. The latest Model-Based Design tools from MathWorks generate production code from a model automatically, significantly decreasing product development time and streamlining the development process.

For our Shanghai Office we are looking for a successful "Senior Application Engineer – Automotive Industry” who builds on his/her experiences in the Automotive industry, its workflows and processes in (embedded) software development and testing and can effectively communicate the benefits of the integrated MathWorks tool chain to customers.

Responsibilities

* Provide technical pre-sales support and guidance to the sales organization, prospects, and customers in the domains of technical computing and data analytics, modeling/designing/simulating and/or prototyping control algorithm and systems, as well as implementing designs on MCUs or DSPs or PLCs through automatic code generation and verification techniques by:

* Preparing and delivering presentations, demonstrations, and application examples in customer meetings, seminars, and other public eventsManaging product eva luations and developing adoption plans that assist customers in adopting MathWorks products

* Partnering with account managers to help develop account and territory level selling strategies

* Identify new trends and application areas and provide feedback to development and marketing teams. Collaborate with the worldwide team on developing compelling messages and demonstrations.

* Advocate for the future direction of MathWorks products based on customer interactions.

* Establish rapport and credibility with our customers across multiple hierarchy levels to build champion users and supporters of our solutions.

Minimum Qualifications

* A bachelor's degree and 7 years of professional work experience (or a master's degree and 5 years of professional work experience, or a PhD degree) is required.

* Candidates must be willing to travel 25% to 50% of the time

* Experience with Automotive

Additional Qualifications

* Work experience with MathWorks products

* Working knowledge of Model-Based Design as a methodology

* Work experience with relevant Automotive processes, concepts and standards (AUTOSAR, Automotive SPICE, ISO 26262)

* Strong embedded software background

* Excellent verbal and written communication skills

* Highly motivated towards working directly with customers

* Sound Presentation skills

* Fluent Chinese and English language skills

* Knowledge of statistical analysis and optimization is preferred

* Automatic code generation and VnV work experience is a plus

* ADAS work experience is a big plus
